"I thought to give you free training in exchange for your books. Are you interested in?

Many people write me asking to join our events and I am very glad for this.

But, at the same time, there’s something else that I am asked for: sales! There’s someone who wants to participate even for free. A couple of them, actually the most creative, asked if me and Robert Dilts could go in their houses for a free private seminar with the purpose to demonstrate that “miracles really do exist”.
I admit I read every single letter because I can’t stop being fascinated by the human being and by his unusual point of view.
But now, I’m going to show you my own vision.

Life taught me that when someone gives us something, we can play a part in this abundance only if we give something back too. This is one of the reasons in order to which my lessons have a price/a cost: someone offers years of study, practice and competence about a discipline and others, who haven’t had the possibility to do the same, give money as a symbol of their efforts and contribution of social participation in their own existences.

Today, money is considered the best and quickest way western man has found for quantifying the value of his working effort and commitment.

So, theoretically, money should represent the fatigue, the brilliance and the engagement of a person who owns it or who has been gifted it, for some reason, by some acquaintances.
It’s true, it doesn’t work in this way and money is not the only unit of measure for the contribution a person can give to civil society; maybe, it has never been so.

Because of this idea, in the past, we have allowed somebody who had an evident economic difficulty to join our lessons and, above all, our personal transformation paths FOR FREE.
I tell you what I discovered: it doesn’t work!

Let me explain myself.
You can’t take anything from a learning class or from a transformation path without giving something back, without a kind of contribution. It’s like being invited to a friend’s home for dinner and showing up there empty handed. Someone says: “my contribution means I am here now!”.
Ok, it’s true, but it isn’t enough because, just like those who say so do, even other people attends the classes and offers their time, not only during, but even before the lessons: years of studies, researches, seminars and careful considerations.

So, in the classic equation that we all know: who has money follows classes and who hasn’t got it, does not.
But I don’t like this solution very much and, in my opinion, it’s not creative enough.

Moreover, I have to tell you that people who follows our classes for free, gets less benefits than the others who pays: because of their feeling of not having given enough in exchange for the classes, they unconsciously try to underestimate what is offered to them, in order to not feeling to be in debt. What’s the result? It is a bad experience both for the teacher and the apprentice/learner. We are turning back to those dynamics linked to the compulsory education where no one would like to be where he is and/or do what he has to do.

So, should we do something about it?

Well, I had an idea, because maybe you have something to offer and that could be very interesting and useful for everyone.

Since about a year, I am creating the biggest Italian library for personal growth: hypnosis, NLP, psychology, psychotherapy, communication etc.
Most of this collection is built up on thousands of books I bought during the past twenty years of studies on this field.

Some days ago, someone offered me his books in exchange for education and then I had this idea.
